Insta-Friday 3-16-12

Insta-Friday over here at the Bettelli Blog.

life rearranged

Linking up with Jeanette . . .

Loving this devotional this week.
Highly reccomend it.

We had a money exchange this week.
George earned another 8 dollars to buy a new skylander.
Here he is handng over the dough.

I won't go into the whole story, but let's just say I used this picture to win.
Yes, this produce market closes at the odd hour of 6:30pm.
But I knew I was right.
Ahem.

A dentist came to George's school this week.
Now he wants to "fossil" his teeth every night.

Typical cheesin'

Another reccommended read.
They are real and honest (hence the title), and I love when authors are authentic.
Especially in subjects that are so true to life.

Just another day at the office.

Captain America in Wal-Mart.
This is how we do things.
We take a picture in the store, so we don't have to actually buy the costume.
Win, win.

Here's to a great weekend.

Insta-Friday, Baby!

Insta-Friday again, Friends.

I say it every week, and I will say it again.

I love, love, love this concept from Life Rearranged.

life rearranged

Sharing our life through iphone pictures.

Genius.

These were BOGO at the grocery store this week.
Dang it.

I love kid food.
I made all nine Bagel Bites that come in a package for my lunch on Wednesday.
I was seriously annoyed when George asked me to share with him, and I knew I had to.
You know, being a good example and all that.

Brag alert . . . you've been warned.
George got his first ever report card this week.
He was assessed on 62 different skills to make sure he was ready for kindergarten.
He scored the highest possible score on every single one.
I think he might be ready for college:)

My parents have always taken academics very seriously, so when George told them the good news about his assessment they decided a celebration dinner was in order.
My mom might have gone a little overboard in the "blow out a candle like it's your birthday" department.

All Ethan cared about were the cookies.

How cute are they?
The tallest and the shortest in the family holding hands.
Love it.

Insta-Friday 2-24-12, The Rat Edition

Insta-Friday, Friends.

life rearranged

This is probably my favorite post of the week.

I love going through my phone pictures to see all the moments that were captured.

Ethan's newest position on the couch.
I guess he wants to be a gymnast.

My mom and sis at a "Quilter's Luncheon" on Saturday.
My mom is the quilter.  Gina and I go for the food.

Flow Rider.

Lovin' his life at the hockey game.
While Papou looks up hockey rules on his iphone in the background.

Sushi and The Vow date with my main squeeze.

I love sleeping pictures.
Especially of this wild man.
It reminds me that he can be still.

Dead rat on our driveway.
Does it get anymore disgusting than that?
I guess it could have been in the house.
I probably would have died.

This is my view sitting on the couch every morning.
It doesn't get any better than that.

Insta-Friday, 2-17

Insta-Friday again, Friends.
life rearranged

I love these posts.

I know I will love looking back on our day to day activities in the future.

This was a big week.

Ethan loves to push around his stuffed animals.
It is so cute to watch him pretend.

We made a trip to Ikea last weekend.
Here is our little helper using his very large muscles.

I am obsessed with books about the Kennedy's.
Someone told me this one had something to do with JFK.
I started reading it, and although the JFK aspect is small, I am enjoying the novel as a whole.

This is Hannah Banana (that is not really her middle name, but it just flows, ya know?).
She was born on Monday to my BFF who lives in Charleston.
I wish I could hold her and kiss those cheeks right now.
Stephanie (the BFF) doesn't have any sisters and her husband doesn't either, so I have named myself favorite aunt.
I am sure Hannah won't mind.

I got to be a part of George's Valentine's party at preschool (and so did Ethan, obviously).
This is one of my favorite parts of being a stay-at-home mom.
I love participating in his daily activities.

While we were at George's school Ethan decided to be a big kid and lay down to read a book.

He even got a date on a carriage ride for Valentine's Day while we were there.

Another really good friend of mine had her baby on Wednesday.
This is Rocco Rae, and he is absolutely adorable.
Rikki (his momma) has come to visit me in the hospital with both my boys, and it was nice to return the favor.
I couldn't believe how little he was.
It seems like forever since mine were this small.

One of my friends had to do a little work dinner last night at a restaurant called Ocean Prime.
She needed a friend to accompany her, so I was happy to tag along.
The food was divine and the company even better.

The entire night was fun, but this peanut butter pie took it over the edge.
I have literally never put something so delicious in my mouth.

There you have it.
The Bettelli week in a nutshell.
Have a great weekend!

Insta-Friday, 2-10-12

Here is a peek into my week via my iphone.

So . . . on our brithday date, Tim had the waiter bring me this cake.
Cute, right?
Except I didn't like it.  At. All.
Like I couldn't eat more than one bite.
Tim felt bad.

Tim sent it back for me, and this was try number two.
It was ok.
I hate that I didn't love it, but you win some you lose some.
It's the thought that counts, babe.

Ethan is getting to the age where he wants to walk everywhere like his brother.
The Bettelli family rule is that we always hold hands when we walk in the street.
This brother hand holding makes my heart happy.

The bucket hat.
One of Ethan's favorite toys.

I was seriously craving deviled eggs this week.
Weird?  Yes.
Delicious?  Double yes.

Where's Waldo?

Ethan loves the leftover party favors.
He just can't seem to get enough of the 90's.

Can you guess why he looks so guily?

Here is another clue.
Toys taken out of the bath and into an antibacterial, soap filled sink.

Finally all clean after bath number 2.
Love the toweled look.
And Ethan still looks guilty.

Eventful week to say the least.
